Anything I should know? Anything to do that isn’t in tourist brochures?
Help me out EU Oppos.
Also, I’m not really into the whole bull fighting /bull running thing.

the roads are hilariously small, and they love families.

My company used to do a lot of work with Navantia (shipbuilder), we had several people living over there, so I’ll ask around the office and see what’s good.

Well you could always visit the places that has cars named after them! For instance the Seat Ronda
I have only been further north in Spain, didn’t notice anything special.

No balls no blue chips. From what I remember about city driving you better not hesitate in your actions. I used to live south of Jerez as a child.

That thing looks seriously sad.

Avoid bullfights like the plague. Some touristy things, like Semana Santa in Sevilla are worth seeing, but most towns have their own version so if you don’t feel like dealing with the crowds and traffic you can still get the essence. The Spanish versions of state fairs are a definite must see. Again, the one is Sevilla is the largest but those in small towns are also enjoyable. See the Alhambra in Granada, and maybe go skiing in the Sierra Nevadas. Most of all eat the food. The pata negra ham is unbelievable.

But not that much. Spain has a very low birthrate.

I know, I don’t mean they like to have children, I mean they like to see families and children. My brother in law lived in Rota for a few years with his 4 kids and he was telling me that everywhere they went they were mobbed with fans of kids.

The saddest thing about it is that Ronda is one of the most beautiful places you’ll ever see, and does not deserve the ignominy of having this awful thing named after it.
Also, the road to Ronda over the mountains from Marbella is a spectacular driving/motorcycling road.

Looking at the picture, I see Granada
and Ronda.
And Malaga
And Cordoba

It’s hot and dry.
Also gazpacho, tapas and ham. You drink
Fino
with the tapas.

The Italians are like that too. They like other people’s kids.

I don’t live in the EU but this is one of my favorite parts of the world. I suggest (1) eating a lot of tapas, (2) drinking as much wine as possible from as near your location as possible, and (3) when reading reviews on TripAdvisor or the like, immediately discount everything that British people recommend, because they consistently recommend whatever is cheapest and most full of British people, not what is best. This goes triple near the beach.
If you’re the outdoorsy type, there is some great hiking in the national parks in this area.

It’s similar in terms of regard for rules of the road (nil), but a lot less aggressive. And a lot less competent, although people seem to just take minor accidents in stride.

They like kids so much BECAUSE of their low birthrate...the newspapers and tv shows are full of pundits handwringing about how their culture will die out because nobody is having children and they’ll be inundated with immigrants.

Not EU, but I was in Seville for a few days last year. It’s worth checking out. As someone else said, try the gazpacho. There is also a local Iberian ham that is very good. The city of Seville has an awesome old church with a market area around it where you can find some unique souvenirs. I got my daughter a pair of Spanish-made pink suede shoes that I’ve never seen anything like in the US. Also, there are a lot of roof-top bars and restaurants that you might not realize are there from street level. I highly recommend checking them out (see photo). Finally, judging by your avatar, you might be a Star Wars fan - the Plaze de Espana in Seville was used as the city of Theed on Naboo in Episode II.

Seville, Málaga, Huelva and Cádiz. Maybe more, if all goes well.

Also, Seville
It’s not the correct Spanish pronounciation though.

It’s the sad version of the also rather sad Fiat Ritmo:
The Fiat had an Abarth version to make up for it though.
